Pentax K1000 35mm Film Camera
The Pentax K1000 is one of the most trusted mechanical 35mm film cameras ever made. Simple, durable, and beautifully straightforward, it’s a favorite for beginners, students, and photographers who want a fully manual camera without unnecessary distractions.
This camera offers full manual control over shutter speed, aperture, and focus, making it a great tool for learning exposure and slowing down the photographic process. Its match-needle light meter keeps things intuitive, while the mechanical shutter allows the camera to operate without batteries, except for the meter.
*Tested with film.

Yes. We recycle and reuse clean materials whenever possible, encourage the reuse of film canisters, and handle photo chemistry responsibly. Our spent fixer is treated via a silver-recovery process with steel wool, which removes silver from the solution for more responsible handling. Film developing creates some waste, but we do our best to keep the process thoughtful, careful, and respectful to the environment. And our friends at Live Thrive Recycling are helping us to do it well.
